Tipo.g. Escuela de Tipografía de Barcelona

Tipo.g is a new Typography School based in Barcelona, Spain. It is a meeting point where typography and graphic design converge. A space in which to learn, experiment and discuss type and typographic design among the different environments of contemporary communication. Typography has become a fundamental discipline for graphic designers and Tipo.g addresses this need from a rigorous, creative, open and always evolving perspective. 

At ATypI 2020 All Over we will present some projects from the first promotion (2019-2020), those by Cecilia Del Castillo, Guillermo González and Claudia Senlle (Students) introduced by Laura Meseguer (Teacher and Coordinator)

Laura Meseguer

Type Designer Type-Ø-Tones

Laura Meseguer is a freelance designer, typographer, and type designer based in Barcelona. Her activity is developed in the field of commercial work and personal projects. She specializes in all kinds of projects based on typography, from lettering for monograms and logotypes to custom typefaces and book design. In 1992, Meseguer joined Type-Ø-Tones, which, to this day, is still her own foundry, where she publishes and promotes all her typefaces. Meseguer is the author of “TypoMag: Typography in Magazines” and, with Cristóbal Henestrosa and José Scaglione, co-author of the book “Cómo crear tipografías. Del boceto a la pantalla,” published by Tipo e. In 2020, Meseguer had her first solo exhibition, “The Beautiful People,” curated by Eider Corral.
