Skakr is an experimental Arabic–Latin typeface inspired by the playful spirit of candies. Rather than imitating their physical forms, the design translates their sense of delight, movement, and spontaneity into a distinctive typographic language. Through soft curves, unexpected shapes, and rhythmic letterforms, Skakr explores the relationship between typography, emotion, and cultural expression. Developed through sketching and experimentation, the typeface challenges conventional structures while maintaining a lively, cohesive visual identity. The project explores how bilingual type design can communicate personality, creativity, and playfulness across two writing systems.
