Building Custom Type for Logotype Design: The Matter of Making Unique Solutions for Design

We’re gonna take a tour of the basics of building custom logotypes with a symmetrical focus on anatomy, integrating and designing shapes with the proper singularities that any logo development needs as a foundational element of a brand, keeping in mind the technical and functional specifications with an aesthetic overview. Students will follow the process the workshop leader takes in his projects, from sketching to art vector tracing in a white and black version. Designing logotypes with custom type will enrich the process of making unique solutions. Find a wonderful inspirational moment to enjoy in your day-to-day work. Jose Luis Coyotl Mixcoatl is a Mexican graphic designer who graduated from the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP). He has worked at design studios Hula+Hula and Estudio La Fe Ciega in Mexico City and Prologue Films in Los Angeles. Mixcoatl is also a design professor in Puebla, Mexico, and a freelance designer and art director.
