Speaker Takashi Funayama

Takashi Funayama is a graphic designer based in Japan who specializes in editorial design for books, magazines, and catalogs.He has won multiple awards, including the Tokyo TDC Award 2025 (Type Design Prize) and the Japan Typography Annual 2025 best work in the Type Design category.In addition to his professional activities, Funayama conducts experimental type design projects as part of his research, investigating the relationship between the Japanese writing system and typographic layout.Assistant Professor at Tokyo University of Technology. Currently enrolled in the doctoral program at Musashino Art University.
