Speaker Craig W. Cornelius
Craig W. Cornelius is a senior software engineer at Google, supporting languages across all Google products. He contributes to the Unicode Standard and supporting software. He served on the Advisory Board of the Australian Research Council’s Center of Excellence on the Dynamics of Language and participates in the Endangered Languages Project Governance Council. Recent work includes Translation Commons’s “Zero To Digital: A Guide to Bring Your Language Online.” His current projects include technology workshops for UNESCO’s Decade of Indigenous Languages. Cornelius has held both academic and industry positions. He holds a PhD in Chemistry and an MS in Computer Science from Stanford University.
