Laura Serra’s imaginative work — made with pencil, ink, paint, pixels, or coffee — is derived from a wide array of influences: personal history, historical styles, and the natural world. Her talk will tell stories of how these diverse points of inspiration lifted her drawing hand in one way or another. She hopes to share how unexpected sources can stimulate our creativity and give us confidence in developing our own original style — all with some cautionary tales along the way.
