The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam is the national museum for Dutch art and history, and is home to many masterpieces including works by Rembrandt, Johannes Vermeer, Frans Hals. Earlier this year, after a lengthy and spectacular renovation, the museum re-opened to critical acclaim.
