Speaker TzuYuan Yin

Hello, I’m Tzu-Yuan (Erik) Yin, a type designer from Taiwan, currently working at Arphic Types. I primarily use professional type design software while developing tools to optimize the design workflow.

I’m dedicated to applying programming techniques in type design. I’ve developed design assistant tools like ‘Nine-Box Preview’ and ‘Show Bopomofo’, and completed Chinese localization for various design scripts. I’m currently working on experimental projects including a Zhuyin composition system and a Chinese character construction system, aiming to bring new possibilities to future type design.

I also share type design knowledge on video platforms, hoping to open the door of type design exploration for more people.
