Speaker Trine Rask

Trine Rask holds a Master in Type Design from Type and Media KABK, The Hague, in the Netherlands. In 2004, she founded a studio in Copenhagen, specializing in type design and typography. Since 2008, Rask has released several retail typefaces and designed a bunch of bespoke typefaces and lettering pieces. She works internationally and has a special interest in accented letters, true italics, and well-made curves. Rask has been honored with a Certificate of Excellence in Typedesign from the Type Directors Club, New York, a Red Dot Award, a Cresta Award, and a diploma for excellent contribution to book craft in Denmark for her work in type design. Since 2005, Rask has taught type design at dmjx, Copenhagen, and, over the years, has been a visiting teacher at the Royal Danish Academy and Designskolen Kolding.
