Speaker Niteesh Yadav

Niteesh is a multidisciplinary designer and independent researcher with a focus on advancing typography for emerging technologies. Currently serving as the Director of Design and Research at Pocket FM. He specializes in crafting typographic solutions for Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). His expertise is encapsulated in the widely-referenced XR Typography Guidelines, a foundational resource available on Google Fonts and utilized by leading companies in the XR industry. Niteesh is also the creator of AR One Sans, an open-source type family specifically optimized for AR/VR headsets.

For over seven years, Niteesh has been at the forefront of defining typography for next-generation AR headset interfaces, including contributions at Meta. His journey into typography began with a Master’s in Typeface Design at the University of Reading, where his research on AR/VR typography laid the groundwork for the innovative work he continues today.
