Speaker Clare Bell

Clare Bell is a practicing designer, researcher, and lecturer on the BA + MA Visual Communication course. A graduate of Central Saint Martins (BA Hons Graphic Design), Clare worked for a number of years as an editorial designer at The Guardian newspaper. She is founder member of Typography Ireland, and a Board member and Secretary of the Association Typographique Internationale (ATypI). She was awarded an International Society of Typographic Designers Certificate of Excellence (2024) for project work (with her erstwhile colleague at The Guardian), Mark Porter Associates. Clare is currently undertaking a PhD at TUDublin and runs a collaborative practice with writer Nathan O’Donnell.
