Yomar Augusto Produced almost entirely by unfinished typefaces, the book is a parody that illustrates Yomar’s complex and deep personality.
The book uses a binder as the main support, and each piece is done on demand and individually, utilizing different kinds of paper and several printing methods.
Yomar sees the book as a reflection of his personality—a continuous creative process, not a finished object—and his work revolves around ‘processing’ a technique where several tests and experiments are made to achieve one single result.
At Atypi in Paris, 10 books will be presented, each one of them signed and numbered. Along with the self-publication, Yomar’s first short movie “Spikes” will be screened in celebration of the completion of the project. The film tells the story of Adam, a san-serif drug addict designer on the hunt for a pure serif fonts.
