Dialogue among civilizations: An emphasis on the cross-cultural aspects of type and typography
Wm Ross Mills and John Hudson are cofounders of Tiro Typeworks, Vancouver, Canada. As type designers and font technology consultants, they have contributed to international font and software development projects for Microsoft, Apple, IBM, Linotype Library and, recently, for the government and aboriginal
land claims corporation of the Arctic territory of Nunavut. In addition to designing original typefaces and extending clients’ existing fonts for additional scripts and languages, Mills and Hudson present articles, lectures and workshops on multiscript typography and font technology. In 2001, they accepted ATypl's invitation to chair the revived Technology Committee.
