The Scandinavian flavour?

The most interesting Danish letter design in the 20th century has been created by a small number of architects, who in the course of several generations of appren­ tice/master relationships have developed a particular Danish tradition.

Steen Ejlers

Steen Ejlers was bom in 1951, is a graphic designer, and Senior Lecturer at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, School or Architecture, Capenhagen. He has published many articles about graphic design and written books about the Danish graphic designers Ib Andersen and Claus Achton Friis. In English Steen Ejlers has recently contributed to Scandinavian Journal of Design History with 'Architects in Danish Graphic Design', Vol. 7, 1997 and 'The Hunt for the Authentic Tradition-or How lrish Applied Arts were Conceived in Copenhagen', Vol. 10, 2000.
