Hundreds of type makers and type users gathered in Antwerp for ATypI 2018, the sixty-second annual conference of the non-profit Association Typographique Internationale. Five type-filled days and nights in this historic setting inspired all who took part.
ATypI 2018 opened on Tuesday, September 11, with a series of immersive craft and technical workshops, followed by font tech, business, and education forums, the general session, exhibitions, tours, and special events Wednesday through Sunday, September 12–16. The ATypI 2018 program was curated by experts representing a range of typographic fields. Attendees had the opportunity to explore a wide variety of contemporary and historical topics with speakers and workshop leaders from around the globe.
The general session was presented at Antwerp’s historic Arenberg theatre, with workshops and special events held at a variety of venues around the city.
