By eliminating the traditional edit–compile–test loop, Counterpunch delivers a true WYSIWYG experience. Every edit is rendered instantly using the same OpenType shaping engine employed by browsers, design applications, and text processors, allowing designers to see exactly how contextual substitutions, vowel marks, and complex-script shaping will behave before exporting. OpenType feature code is generated automatically in real time, reducing technical barriers, while intelligent use of ccmp minimizes the need for derivative glyphs and simplifies quality control.
