The Conference takes place at the Royal Danish Academy (Det Kongelige Akademi – Arkitektur, Design, Konservering) in the Holmen neighborhood of Copenhagen, by the harbor.

What’s on the program?
The Call for Submissions was a great success — we received 267 proposals for presentations, workshops and exhibitions. The Review Team selects around 80 of these. Three talks were selected as keynotes.
Special program addition
Tour of the Chair Collection at the Royal Danish Academy
Above the auditoriums at the Royal Danish Academy is a hidden gem: a unique collection of chairs from the Danish Modern period. Professor Nicolai de Gier will guide a tour, offering an introduction to the collection and shedding light on the special production techniques used to create these iconic pieces. The Academy also houses a distinctive collection of vintage sign paintings by Leo Lund (1919–1970), complementing the chair collection.

Local team
The Copenhagen local chair is Sofie Beier, professor at the Academy’s School of Design and head of its Centre for Visibility Design. Sofie is joined by her colleagues Anders Thulin, Head of the Institute for Visual Design, and PhD Research Fellow Matthias Horneman-Thielcke.
