Speaker Roger Black
Roger Black, 54, is chairman and co-founder of Danilo Black Inc, a leading international consultancy providing content, design and technology strategy for media companies. The firm helps clients build rewarding businesses across print, broadcast, and online media. Founded by Black and famed Mexican designer Eduardo Danilo, Danilo Black Inc has clients in selected cities around the world, with a focus on the US and Latin American markets.
An early adopter of web publishing, he made a successful transition from print to web while never giving up print. Over the last 10 years, Black’s studio has rebuilt some of the most prestigious magazines and newspapers in the world, including Reader’s Digest, Red Herring, The Baltimore Sun, Esquire, Premiere, The Straits Times (Singapore), The Nation (Bangkok) Tages Anzeiger (Zurich) Svenska Dagbladet (Stockholm) and The New Republic. With David Berlow, Black started The Font Bureau, Inc, of Boston, in 1989. He continues an activte advisory role in the foundry.
Recipient of a distinguished alumnus award from the University of Chicago in 1997, Black lives on Gramercy Park in Manhattan and in Pass-a-Grille, Florida.
