Speaker Pascal Glissmann
Pascal Glissmann is a designer and educator based in New York and Berlin. His work explores visual language and typography as tools for cultural inquiry, with a focus on how symbolic systems shape perception and communication across disciplines.
He is currently Associate Professor of Communication Design at Parsons School of Design and holds an MFA in Media Design from the Academy of Media Arts Cologne and a BFA in Communication Design from FH Düsseldorf.
Since 2001, Pascal has combined his creative practice with academic full-time positions in Cologne, Hong Kong, Beirut, and New York, cultivating a transnational perspective on design education. His design and media works have been presented internationally, including at Ars Electronica, Kiasma Helsinki, and the New Media Art Festival Japan, positioning his practice at the intersection of research, typography, and experimental visual form.
