Speaker John Hudson

Wm Ross Mills and John Hudson are co­founders of Tiro Typeworks, Vancouver, Canada. As type designers and font technology consultants, they have contributed to interna­tional font and software development projects for Microsoft, Apple, IBM, Linotype Library and, recently, for the government and aboriginal
land claims corporation of the Arctic territory of Nunavut. In addition to designing original typefaces and extending clients’ existing fonts for additional scripts and languages, Mills and Hudson present articles, lectures and work­shops on multiscript typography and font tech­nology. In 2001, they accepted ATypl’s invita­tion to chair the revived Technology Committee.
