Hello World. We would love to share the process and solution behind our newest project (launching soon). A playful yet design uptight rebranding of one of Copenhagen’s major advertising agencies, Robert/Boisen & Like-Minded. Apart from trying to dazzle you with some hopefully great looking design, we would like to go deep and dirty into the process. A variable custom font, iconic icons and a generative handwritten font, is set to take center stage. Most notably, we would like to share a deep dive into the build of an online AI generator, that can create icons and handwritten typography from simple word prompts. Handwritten typography as it was meant to be—“handmade”. Not restricted by the digital typographic framework put out by font applications. By using examples of handwritten words, we have trained an AI image model, not just to copy, but understand the way the font was initially thought from a design artistic point of view. We have thought of this project as an organic generator from the start; as a tool, but also as an experiment in using AI in a process where the AI is formed from the process, rather than used as a tool to form the process.
