Typeface design is experiencing a colour evolution, where designers can tap into their independent and interdependent personalities to create dynamic SVG and SBIX colour fonts. This presentation explores creating highly personalised corporate identities and typefaces that use this constantly evolving platform.

Tania Hearn is an Australian type designer and lettering artist from the Gold Coast, Australia. She creates kinetic typography, SVG and SBIX colour fonts, and tactile ambigrams. Tania studied design at Griffith University, going on to complete her Honours degree in type design at the University of Newcastle. Tania has been featured in Typism’s annual books. She teaches lettering workshops to pass on her tips and techniques, and cherishes any spare time sketching by hand. Tania is hosting her Type Down Under exhibition at Southbank Brisbane during the ATypI conference and invites letter lovers and puzzle pundits to come along and enjoy her colourful collection of brain-benders that challenge you to look at words in new ways.
