The Scandinavian flavour?

Do you want to see a mixture of Swedish temperament and Italian strictness? How does a Swedish version of Bodoni look and feel? My presentation is about the design of a corporate font for Sweden’s largest momig newspaper-Dagens Nyheter Badoni.

Orjan Nordling

Orjan Nordling, born 1958. Educated at the National College of Art and Design in Stockholm, Graphic Design 1979-83 and Basel School of Design, Post Graduate Programme Graphic Design 1983-85. Partner in Pangea Design AB, Stockholm. Work includes type design for Berthold (Nordling BQ, Excellent Swedish Design Award 19961, as well as cus­tom typefaces for Dagens Nyheter, Goteborgs Posten, Helsingin Sanomat and If Insurance. Corporate identities for Bonniers Publishers, the daily newspaper Svenska Dagbladet, The Swedish National Heritage Board, the Swedish Railway Authority Banverket and the Swedish Police Union. Book design and design consul­tancy for various museums, institutions and publishers.
