Dear Erik,
Have you thought any further on the future of type, type design and graphic design?
I have. I’ve also received comments from most people I know wondering what the heil it was going to be about. It could very well be the most pretentious title on the program : ( Maybe we should rename it into A Future?
A cap A would probably not mean much to the attendees. ;-). lf the title creates interest it is a good titlel So give your-personal-view of the (maybe only near) future on this field.
I want to show a modified expose on AutoBrander. Then l’m working on some ideas about how in the past automation caused the manual equivalent of a particular task to change, and what that could mean for typography. I think the general lines are about tools and tool devel opment, but I don’t want to talk about particular ones that we’re working on.
Good. Do not be too technical and give the outlines.
But the prospect is quite frightening.
Yes but then again: becoming a father also strikes you with fear-before handl
Find an old rear-view mirror and mount on your forehead so that you can see the whole world in it. Walk backwards. Let it sit for a day or two-and there you have your talk!
Clarified? Or mystified? Henrik
