Currently the Principal Designer at Chewy on their design systems team, Jason has been designing and building for the web since 1994 and has specialized in web typography for the past 10 years. One of the leading experts in using variable fonts, he consults with nearly every major type and web browser company, and is an Invited Expert to the Web Fonts Working Group at the W3C. He has led the design of typographic systems used by millions of people every day for entertainment and government platforms alike, as technically advanced as they are successfully envisioned. Over the past several years, he has published countless articles, newsletters, and sites focused on teaching web typography, exploring the design and technical capabilities of variable fonts, and has delivered talks and workshops on the subject at over 100 events and conferences all around the world.
