The call for proposals is now closed. We received a record number of submissions this year, and we will feature as many speakers at our Paris/hybrid conference as possible. Thanks to all for sending in so many wonderful, inspirational ideas. Reviews are in progress, and we will notify speakers and post the program as soon as we can.

Conference week: Tuesday–Sunday, May 9–14, 2023
Submission deadline: January 18 25, 2023
Notification period: Begins February 22, 2023

We are delighted that you are interested in being part of ATypI Paris 2023! Our return to in-person events will take us, finally, to the French capital. ATypI Paris 2023 will serve as a platform for voices from all over the world. We are planning a remote option so that speakers and attendees who are unable to travel may participate remotely.

We are looking forward to finding out more about what you would like to share with our community.

ATypI Paris 2023 is an event devoted to everything imaginable related to type design and typography. The conference will feature an exciting program of presentations, panel discussions, workshops, tours, demos, exhibitions, type walks, discussions, and opportunities for networking and socializing.

Conference week: Tuesday–Sunday, May 9–14, 2023

Workshops, tours, and other optional small-group activities: Tuesday, Wednesday, Sunday

Check-in/registration and opening night: Wednesday pm, May 10, 2023

Core program/general session: Thursday–Saturday, May 11–13, 2023

Hours: The conference program will run from approximately 8:00 am to 7:00 pm Central European Summer Time/CEST (Paris local time). Additional events may be held in the evening hours on certain days. Those submitting proposals must commit in advance to appearing onstage in person in Paris or being available remotely during the conference hours, Paris local time.

This event will be presented in person as long as health/governmental restrictions permit.

The primary language of the conference is English, but accepted speakers are welcome and encouraged to present in their native language(s) or another language of preference.

Confirmed speakers and workshop leaders attending the in-person conference will pay a reduced admission fee of $250. One speaker discount is available per session. No compensation is offered to speakers for this event. Accepted speakers may request a partial or full waiver of the discounted speaker fee. Waivers are granted based on availability of funding and participant need.

In order to consider you as a speaker for ATypI Paris, we need some information and assets. Please fill out this submission form and upload all required materials as soon as possible, but no later than January 18 25, 2023.

For those who are proposing group sessions: each speaker must fill out and submit their own form/agreement. See instructions in the form.
