Wednesday 14 September–Thursday 15 September, 9:00–17:00.

The two days prior to the main Conference will feature ATypI TypeTech Forum – a two-day technical seminar related to font development on a range of subjects, including Unicode, OpenType and type design & production applications. The ATypI TypeTech Forum is this year organized by Simon Daniels of Microsoft Typography.

A second track of FontLab training will be provided on both days. Attendees can alternate between tracks as space allows.

Registration

The event is bookable separately from the main conference, but there are discounts for booking at both events. You can register at the registration section (fees vary depending on when you book and whether you are also attending the main conference).

Introduction to OpenType. Morning of day one, beginner level tutorials on OpenType, Unicode and the character glyph model. Those who know a bit about the subject can sleep in. The content of the FontLab track will be repeated on both days so people can get as much as possible from both tracks.
